We have made fruit Sushi or as my son wants to call it - Fru-shi! You can make it in so many ways, but here's a quick and easy Fruit Sushi Hack!
Super fast, easy, healthy and kid approved!
What you need...
Coco by Nuco Coconut Wrap (Thrive Market or Lovey's)
Spread with Delighted by Hummus Brownie Batter Hummus (Harris Teeter)
Place 1 whole Banana at one end of the wrap, buddy up some sliced strawberries, roll and cut!!! Voila!
These are a great snack, hold up wonderfully in lunch boxes or even a rescue for a sweet tooth! ;)
If you want to get CRAZY and try something a little more tedious!
We used Unsweetened Coconut + 1 tbsp Raw Honey + 2 tbsp Coconut Milk and stirred well to combine to make look-alike "white rice." This works great with Grapefruit and Clementine as Nigiri! I just rolled the balls in my hand to form and placed fruit on top!
The "rice" also works well rolled up in the Coconut Wraps with other fruit! Your choice of Nut Butters, Dessert Hummus or even Kite Hill Cream Cheese make excellent "glue" and keep it Vegan!
I did use my Kicthenaid Veggie Sheet Cutter to make the Apple Sheets, but a Sprializer can produce these with the flat blade as well!
We even did a few with Ham and Cream Cheese! Huge Kid Hit!
