I put this little Simple Snack Builder tool together well over a year ago, and hardly a day goes by that I don't see it pop up on my feed in some way! It is an easy way to build a macro balanced snack, mini-meal or dinner without having to give to much thought AND from whatever you have on hand!
You can use it to build small, medium, large snacks according to where you are in your program or what your goals are.
-For a ~100 calorie balanced snack - choose 1 item from each column.
-For a ~200 calorie balanced snack - choose 2 items from each column.
-For a larger meal or dinner, you can pick 4-5 from each column to make a 400-500 calorie meal!
4oz. grilled chicken + 1 tsp olive oil + 2 cups cooked spaghetti squash + 3/4 tomatoes + 1/2 cup artichoke hearts + 1.5 oz. feta cheese = approximately 450 calorie dinner!
